Top Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Norway Q4 2024

In the final quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in Norway showed varied performance, with intriguing trends in downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Vegvesen trafikk saw fluctuating weekly downloads, starting with around 1.5K downloads at the beginning of the quarter and peaking at 6.7K in mid-November. This was followed by a moderate decline, ending the year with approximately 4.7K downloads.

Google Maps maintained a steady download rate, with numbers hovering around the 2.5K mark throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started at 181.9K, dipping slightly mid-quarter, but rebounding to end the quarter at 179.4K.

Bilista experienced a steady decline in downloads over the quarter. Starting at 1.2K downloads, the app saw numbers drop to 740 by the end of December.

Google Earth had a consistent download trend, ranging from 800 to 1.1K downloads weekly. Active users showed an upward trajectory, starting at 8.9K and ending the quarter with over 10.1K users.

Kolumbus downloads decreased from 725 at the beginning of the quarter to 542 by year-end. However, the app's active users increased steadily, peaking at 14.2K in early December before settling at 11.5K.
